Most photoshoots presume your family will be posing. Oftentimes, that’s where all the frustration comes from; manufacturing unnatural moments. I am interested in your family life as it already exists, not in an unrealistic, produced version.
You won’t wear matching khaki and chambray. No one will have a squeaky toy to try and get your child to turn toward the camera. No one will have to “say cheese!”
I want your real life; the one you may have forgotten is breathtaking.
when I come to your home…
We’ll have a family meeting to talk about your plans for the day, what everyone hopes to do, and my presence during those events. My goal will be to spend the time with your family, seeing what you’ve become so accustomed to that you might miss it;
the sweetness of eating together,
the wild-aliveness of a skinned knee and wiped tears,
or the fleeting afternoon laughter during an impromptu dance party.
When I’m done…
within two weeks you will receive a hardcover photo book, produced by me, of the best 50 shots of the day along with the digital files of those images. If you’d like to purchase the rest of the images you can, but I won’t have a high-pressure meeting with you to up-sell.
